Definitely one of my most influential artist, Scott Hansen combines but digital and analogue styles beautifully. His use of color gives the feel of age and give a tonal range that looks natural yet beautiful. His use of color in someways reflects also his music as it give a warm peaceful feeling. His art shows [...]

Looks incredibly ridiculous but could be really cool. Some how though i doubt that the soloing in the video is real. It seems to difficult to play something like a harmonica that faster and precise. None the less it is an interesting concept. Edit: Rock Erickson kindly corrected my doubts about the solo in the [...]

I have this recent fascination with the idea of making my own record player and even my own records. It seems to be simpler than most think. Other objects are placed on the table to further add or [...]
Bre Pettis finds and meets many interesting people. One of those people would be Christopher Palmer, who presented his Arca Musarithmica at Robogames. CTP’s Awesome Musical Robot from Bre Pettis on Vimeo.
David Byrne is somewhat how I envision myself in thirty years. Seems a little quarky and is creating the most amazing inovative things out of normal everyday things. Using merely an old organ of sorts and connecting it via electrical cables to various electromagnets throughout an old warehouse using the parts of the warehouse to [...]

With the iPhone over time has come an array of interesting applications such as vintage photo plug-ins. One such program is TouchOSC. Christopher Willits, who does a podcast where he shows tips and tricks around the studio, shows how to use TouchOSC, patching it through Max/Msp to Ableton Live. Hopefully I will post another instrument [...]
Kanta Horio, a very inventive artist, seems to create various moving pieces out of normal every day objects. One of these pieces is called Particles where Kanta uses electromagnets controlled by a computer to make pieces of paper clips rattle. Then attached to the wood board there appears to be two microphones which pick up [...]
